This tutorial was written for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. Supplies Needed: PSP 9 (any version will work) Tube of choice Clarey's Christmas Charm Exclusive Scrap Kit available here I used artwork by Scott Blair This tut is dedicated to Clarey and has been written for all those who have purchased her first exclusive scrap kit Christmas Charm! It's only £1 and it is awesome! See her site here Clarey is one of the most fantastic scrappers and 90% of my tags now include her works in some way! So if you haven't bought her kit, don't worry just use my tag as a guide and get creative! Throughout I will state which elements I have used! But feel free to change anything to suit you :o) Some parts are monotonous but I think the end result is well worth it. Open clarey_christmascharm_frame3 in psp. Image Canvas Size - 700 by 700 Choose a paper you like I used clarey_christmascharm_paper2. Using your magic wand tool, Click inside the frame, both windows. Selections - Modify - Expand by 2. Flood fill with your paper choice. Selections - Invert and hit delete. Drag the paper layer below your frame layer. Selections Invert again so just the windows are selected again. Layers - New Raster Layer Flood fill with another paper that contrasts. I used clarey_christmascharm_paper4 Change the blend mode to Darken (or one of choice) Reduce opacity to 76. Selections - Select None. Layers - Merge - Merge Visible The Frame and 2 paper layers. Copy and paste your tube on to the canvas. Click on the frame layer. Layers - Duplicate, select the bottom frame layer. Go to Plugins - Toadies - What Are You? Both set to 8. Back to the top layer. Paste on the hollydoodle2, Resize by 40 using smart size. All layers unchecked. Position it in the corner. Paste the gifts1 pressies at the bottom of the frame behind your tube. Open the Christmas tree. Resize by 60 using smart size. All layers unchecked. Position behind the presents. On the tree layer. Layers - Duplicate, select the bottom tree layer. Go to Plugins - Toadies - What Are You? Both set to 8. Add drop shadow to the tube, pressies, doodle and tree layers. I used H + W = 2, Op = 100, Bl = 5, Colour Black. Add the tube copywrite. Add your name, I used the font Carbon Block Size 72 all uppercase. Stroke width 2. I used Green as the Stroke and one of Clareys papers as the fill. Add a Round Inner Bevel and same drop shadow as before. Crop your tag and save! You are done!  |
